Gellért Thermal Bath

Budapest is located on a place formerly known as Aquincum, which was the center of Pannonia, one of the most important provinces of the Roman Empire; the name of the old city comes from the Celtic ”ak ink”, which means ”plenty of water”. The many thermal springs at the foot of Gellért Hill provide the healing waters for the pools of Rudas Bath and Gellert Bath. Guests are welcome in the beautiful baths for a swim, for refreshing massages, or simply to rest in the hot water and admire the sun coming through the windows of domes built during Turkish times.
