The building was home of the Hungarian composer from 1924 until his death in 1967. The memorial museum was opened in 1990, and displays folk art objects he owned, as well as personal manuscripts and photographs. Two rooms are restored to resemble the original era, and two other rooms house the collection. The wife of Zoltán Kodály leads work in the archive.
