The iconostasis shows distinct Italian Renaissance influence
Budapest Inner City Serbian Church
Address: 5th district, Szerb u. 2-4
The Serbian community built this baroque church in 1698. The Greek Catholic practice of separating the women’s church from the men’s, one step lower, by a wooden railing, can be observed in the interior. The iconostasis shows distinct Italian Renaissance influence, and dates from 1850.
