This contemporary arts museum houses Hungarian avant-garde and international works, applied art and design. It was named in memorial to Lajos Ernst, its founder. In 2003, the library of art historian Lajos Németh was moved here, and visitors now have free access to books, which abundantly present the art of the 20th century.
The museum complements the exhibition with other art events, such as auctions and lectures.
