Chops of every kind sell food as well as a wide choice of souvenirs
Budapest Central Market Hall
Location: By the Pest end of Liberty Bridge (Szabadság Híd)
Samu Petz designed the building, constructed between 1895-97. For a long time, it was the largest Market-Hall of the capital. Its main attraction today is twofold. It is very spacious, especially for being a marketplace, and its architectural decor includes beautiful ironwork and huge glass surfaces. There are shops of every kind, selling food as well as souvenirs.
