The exhibition details the history of Hungarian coins and banknotes, from the earliest times to our day. The oldest Hungarian coin in the collection is a denarius, minted by the first king, St. Stephen. The monetary history of Transylvania (formerly part of Hungary, now belonging to Romania) is also presented in a special section.
