The museum is located in a section of the Vajdahunyad Castle, situated in the City Park. It is the largest museum of agriculture in Europe. The building itself was erected originally for the Millennial Exhibition, and was designed by Ignác Alpár, who merged different architectural styles, featuring well-known buildings of historical Hungary. The museum of agriculture has been hosted here since 1897. From the main entrance, the visitor proceeds through a marble arched court, up to the first floor, via a marble staircase. There, he can cast a glance over the building interior, while visiting the exhibitions. The hunting hall is beautifully decorated, complete with stunning ceiling motifs and stain glass windows.
