When can I check in?
The room can be occupied beginning with 2 PM. In case of an earlier arrival it is possible to occupy the room if we already have one cleaned. If there is still no clean room available, you can leave your luggages in our storage room free of charge. Meanwhile you can have breakfast or lunch in our restaurant.
Until when do I have to check out?
Check out time is 11 AM. In case you would like to stay a little longer please turn to the reception: if there is a possibility to do so we'll arrange the late check out.
What kind of breakfast is there in the hotel? Is breakfast included in the price of the room?
In our hotel we provide a rich buffet breakfast consisting of various types of cheese, cold meats, baked products, scrambled eggs, Vienna sausages, fried bacon, cereals, yogurts, 100% natural fruit juices, coffee, tea. etc. Our Internet rates (for rooms bookable online) do not include breakfast. You can decide upon arrival on which days of your stay you will be requesting breakfast, which costs 2000 HUF (8 Euro) per person.
What does halfboard mean in Hotel Charles?
Halfboard means that you can choose a 3-course menu (either for lunch or for supper) that you can have in our restaurant. The menu is previously arranged, you can only decide whether you would like regular or vegetarian dishes. The price of the menu is 12 Euro per person.
Can I order an airport transfer?
Of course. You can book an airport transfer in advance in case you don't want to wait for other passengers to be taken to their destinations before you, and would prefer to have a more personal transportation service for a reasonable price. This way your private English speaking driver will be waiting for you with a sign at the information desk (in case your flight arrives late you won't have to announce anybody - the company keeps in touch with the airport and knows about delays and changes), and will take you directly to your hotel as soon as possible. How does the Internet function in the hotel?
High-speed WiFi wireless Internet connection is available in the entire hotel building free of charge, so guests can use their own laptops to access the Internet. In order to use this complimentary service you need to aks for the access codes at the reception desk. Our colleagues are happy to assist with any technical problems you might be experiencing during the process. For guests who don't have their own laptops we recommend our Business Center, where there are three treminals they can use the high-speed Internet on. Beside surfing on the Net you can send and receive e-mails as well; the address of our guests is guest@charleshotel.hu but you can receive e-mails to info@charleshotel.hu if you don't want other guests to be able to ready the letters - in the latter case our receptionists will notify you as soon as an e-mail arrives for you. (Unfortunately on this latter address no attached files can be received.) The use of the Internet in our Business Center is 600 HUF/30 minutes.

How can I order a Taxi? Which company shall I choose?
We'll order a taxi for you at the reception. Our hotel works together with City Taxi, a company which is not only the largest taxi company in Budapest and has the largest number of cars with the best average quality but has also won the title of the Best Taxi Company 5 times in the past 7 years. In case you prefer another taxi company we'll order the taxi of your wish.
What should I see in Budapest?
Our receptinists will provide you with a free map marking all the sights worth seeing. If you only spend a few days in town, we suggest you take an organised sightseeing tour on your first day, where you'll see all the main tourist attractions of Budapest; after that you can visit the most interesting places on your own. Our receptionists will help you to find your way or choose from a great variety of organised tours.
How can I settle my bill?
You can pay in cash or by credit card. We accept the following currencies apart from HUF: USD, EUR, GBP, NOK, CHF, SEK, CAD. The following credit cards are accepted: EC/MC, VISA, AMEX. As a guarantee you can only provide credit cards with relief printing (not electron cards).
Can I drink the water coming from the tap?
Yes. Drinkwater comes from the household taps throughout Hungary. In the very few places where the water is not suitable for drinking (parks, cemeteries, etc.), a visible sign is displayed with this information.
Can I use my own iron or hair-dryer in the room?
If your electric equipments have the settings of the Hungarian electric standards (220-230 V, 50 Hz AC) and are adjusted to these rates, then you can. (We can also provide a plug adaptor if the plug is different.) But if you only need to use these appliances you don't have to bring them with you: you can ask for them free of charge at the reception. Our Deluxe category studios and apartments all have hair-dryers in the bathroom.
