After landing on the Budapest Airport, you can use the Budapest Airport Minibus service, which costs 2300 HUF / person. The Minibus takes you to the hotel. In case you decide to take a cab, ask about the fare in advance. Fares to Hotel Charles should normally be between 5500 and 6500 HUF.

If you don't want to wait for other passengers to be taken to their destinations before you, you can book an airport transfer in advance. This is offered on reasonable prices, yet the service is personalised and reliable: your private English speaking driver will be waiting for you at the information desk with a sign displaying your name (if your flight arrives late, you do not have to call anybody - the company monitors airport information, and knows about delays and changes in the schedule), and will take you to your hotel or destination with no delay. Good to know! The airport - city center distance can be covered by public transportation in about 1-1,5 hours! If you decide to try the adventure, take the BKV plus Airport bus at the airport, get off at the end of the line (Kőbánya-Kispest), transfer to the Metro (it only goes in one direction from there), and get off at the 9th stop (Ferenciek tere). Coming up from the subway, take the steps on your left, sharp, beside a church. The bus stop is about 20 meters into the smaller street, in front of a university library. Take bus no. 8 or 112. Hotel Charles is right at the 3rd stop (Mészáros u.).
